 High School...............................
Dear Mr................
You will be glad to know that in  the lat meeting of the Trust it has been decided to start a college in the name of Jinnah Muslim College in the premises which have now been let out to the Trust. An initial expenditure of Rs. 20 lakhs is estimated for this venture. This whole amount is to be raised by way of donations.
Knowing your interest in education and especially your association with the institution for the last so many years, I am making this request with full belief that you would donate a reasonable sum. I am not putting down any figure as, I am afraid, I may underestimate and cut a sorry figure afterwards. At first I decided to come down to your place personally but urgency of the matter has not allowed me to spare that much time. It is our confidence that the college will start functioning from January next.
How is your new machine working? I remember you had told me that it was not giving average production when I met you last.
Yours sincerely,
...............

Dear.................
I trust this finds you in the best of health.
This letter will surprise you as I am writing something which has always been against my principle in life. You might get me just with this line, but to be clearer, you know borrowing and lending of money has never been my life's principle. I have always thought it an evil and I still have the same opinion but certain pressing needs have fallen on my family and I am compelled to deviate from this principle.
As you are aware, my mother is ailing for the last many months. The doctor yesterday told me that she was suffering from T.B. and immediate removal to a hill station was absolutely necessary for her. I am prepared to sacrifice anything for her life. Only the day before yesterday my son Razi left for Karachi as he has joined the Quaid-i-Azam High School there and I had to spend about Rs. 5500 for his fees, clothes, etc. I had Rs. 3000. in the bank and I had to close the account after drawing the amount in full. I am badly in need of Rs. 10,000 now and hope you would try your best to arrange this sum for me within a day or two. I shall return this amount by paying Rs. 1000. per month.
Rest is all fine.
Yours sincerely,

Dear.....................
I have received your letter and I am sorry to note that respected auntie is suffering from T.B.
I tried to contact you on the phone this afternoon but your office people informed me that you were on leave since yesterday.
Dear Hafeez, it is a pleasure for me to be of any help to you. I am sending Rs. 10,000 through my peon. If you want more, please do not hesitate to ask me. May God give a long life to respected  auntie and that she recover soon from this long illness.
With love and sympathy,
Yours sincerely,

Returning the loan.
Dear.....................
You will be glad to know that I have been promoted as Superintendent. Although the official charge will be handed over to me only on Saturday next, I have been given 13 months' arrears amounting to Rs. 10,000. I am sending a cheque for Rs. 10,000, the amount which you had so kindly lent me two months back. My mother is now much better and I hope we shall bring her back by the end of this month or early next month.
With best wishes.
Yours sincerely,

Dear....................
I am writing this letter to you for getting a favour. I have been offered the post of Personnel Officer in Pak. Iron & Steel Co., Nowshera, and I am required to give excellent references. My introduction to you was just for a few minutes when I came to your place with my friend Rauf at evening tea in February last, and I hope you remember me well.
If you so kindly agree to give a reference, I shall feel much obliged.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Wahid,
I am glad to know from your letter that you have completed your college studies and you intend starting your business.
Well, dear Wahid, you have not written what type of spare parts you intend to manufacture. How much money do you want to invest? Have you arranged for any suitable place for factory, etc.? I would suggest you to come down to my place this Friday and we shall discuss the matter in detail. I shall be glad to give you any guidance you may need in your business.
With best wishes.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Mrs.....................
Yours son Warris is such a dear that I hesitate writing anything against him. Until last Tuesday I considered him a very good boy and had nothing except words of praise to say.
My ailing sister has come down here for treatment. On Tuesday last, many children of our locality were playing near the window of my sister's room. They were making a big noise and doctor had advised that children should not play near that place. Everyone obeyed, but Warris would not listen. So much so that he came quite near the window and yelled. He has repeated this many a time during the last three days and has not cared to listen even to Mr. Tanvir who suggested him not to do like that. I hope you will make him understand that such a thing is not nice for a good boy like him and that he should not repeat it again.
I am sure your words would be sufficient and I shall not have to think of any other means.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs.....................
