My Last Day At School

Paragraph Writing  For Kids

My last day at school

Like the first day, the last day at school also has significance for students. My last day at school is still fresh in my memory.
According to the date sheet our examination was to commence on the 9th March. So the 1st of March was our last day at school. The boys of class nine arranged for a grand party to be given to us.
We assembled in the hall. The programme began with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Then a student from the class nine made a short speech on behalf of the class. I was to speak in reply. I thanked the hosts for their expression of love for us. In the end, our Headmaster rose to address the meeting. All the students clapped and cheered to welcome his speech. He explained us the fruits of hard work and advised us to be honest, dutiful and righteous in life. He also expressed the hope that we would remember the school and its teachers who had prepared us for battle of life. He concluded by saying that he would be very pleased to hear that all of us had passed the examination with credit.
The meeting ended at 5 o'clock. Soon after we had tea with the students of class nine and the school staff. Meanwhile the photographer had come. The Headmaster and teachers took a seat each, and we stood behind them in rows. A group photograph was taken. Then our teachers issued us our roll number, slips. They shook hands with us and wished us good luck. We returned home with a heavy heart.
