Suicidal Thinking

Write my Essay
Suicidal Thinking

Modern age is also the age of mechanism and depression or frustration. Life is so fast and in this mechanical life thinking of suicide has become very common. Newspapers are replete with news of suicide. When you are in the most critical situation of your life, suicide seems like a reasonable way out of hopeless situations.
A person obsessed with this unhealthy feeling of suicide regards life worthless or meaningless. He feels complete despair and hopelessness. This entire situation of despair leads him towards suicide. If a person thinks that his situation is not hopeless and his pain is not unbearable he may do certain things to come out of this unhealthy thinking. Now the question is how this psychological problem can be overcomed.  In this respect I would like to refer some suggestions by Robert A. Sarmiento.
First of all the presence of tools through which one can end his life easily can prove dangerous in such a frame of mind. So it is necessary to remove all easy opportunities for suicide such as weapons medications etc. Lock them up give them away or put them in storage.
Secondly write out your thoughts and work at disputing and changing depressing anxious suicidal thoughts. For example Mr. Robert F. Sarmiento states that if you are thinking My life sucks   try changing this to something about my life sucks but I may be able to change them and many other things about my life are okay.
Further you should fight your feelings by doing the opposite of what you feel like doing. In this respect you can do something physical like going for a walk exercising or any other healthy activity.
When you share your feeling or tension with your friends this ultimately gives you sense of relief and you may come out of this suicidal thinking.
Usually people try to get rid of this unhealthy feeling. They turn to drinking or drugging. This might help them feel better temporarily but it will probably just make matters worse. Instead of this you can busy your self in healthy activities.

Thus I would like to sum up my speech with these words that no doubt modern age is the age of science and technology but it is also machinical age and this machinical age creates frustration anxiety or depression and ultimately develops feelings of meaninglessness and life seems unworthy . So for healthy societies we need healthy and peaceful state of mind rather than sick minds.
